The work behind the opportunity
Shape the assistant around a useful knowledge task.
A useful proposal connects the technical work with the result your organisation needs. Explore the parts of this service that make the difference.
01Choose the knowledge task
+
Describe the questions people need to answer and the sources they should use. Distinguish finding a passage, summarising information and drafting an answer. Providers can then explain whether search, a knowledge assistant or another approach is the better fit.
02Keep sources and access connected
+
Identify approved repositories, ownership and update practices. Ask how a retrieval-augmented generation, or RAG, design will respect source access and handle conflicting information. Include the process for removing information and correcting an answer.
03Evaluate useful answers
+
Use representative questions and difficult examples to compare proposals. Define expectations for source references, unsupported questions, review and escalation. Include ongoing evaluation and maintenance rather than treating the first demonstration as completion.
